Awkward!Reese Witherspoon’s Son Tennessee Sometimes Confuses Sister Ava for His Mom

Well, they do look quite a lot alike! In a new interview, Reese Witherspoon funnily admitted her four-year-old son, Tennessee, sometimes confuses his older sister, Ava, 17, for his mom!

“The kids all have funny and unique relationships with each other. Ava is like another parent to Tennessee, like his other mother. I think sometimes he even gets confused — he told Ava ‘Happy Mother’s Day!'” the 41-year-old actress recently told Southern Living magazine. Reese is additionally a mom to a 13-year-old son, Deacon. “And Tennessee is just sort of like Deacon’s protégé,” she added. “He follows his older brother around the house all day.”

Reese and her husband, Jim Toth, welcomed Tennessee — their only child together — back in September 2012. The Legally Blonde star previously had Ava and Deacon with her first husband, Ryan Phillippe, whom she divorced after eight years of marriage in 2007.

Shortly after Tennessee’s birth, Reese revealed her youngest son was named after her beloved hometown. Today, the tot is admittedly having a hard time at school with his long name! “My own Tennessee is trying to learn how to spell his name right now. We were over at the preschool, and the teachers were saying that sometimes he just quits and writes ‘Toth’ instead,” she joked.
