"It would be cool, I think we're ready to see Elle and see what she's up to lately," the 39-year-old actress said during a recent interview on Rachel Zoe's new talk show, Fashionably Late. "That said, I don't know, call MGM, I have no idea [if it could happen!]"

Reese, of course, originally portrayed law student Elle Woods in 2001's Legally Blonde. Just two years later, Elle returned to the big screen with the sequel, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, which showed the blonde beauty taking on Washington, D.C. to have a bill passed to outlaw cosmetic companies testing products on animals.

"A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for [a third movie] — I actually think it's kind of great right now because we're talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women [in office]," Reese added. "I think it would be kind of a cool thing to have her be supreme court justice... or president!"
