It seems the royal family sadly won't be attending this year's Rio Olympics.
Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry are skipping the upcoming olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil due to concerns over the Zika virus, according to a new report.

Princess Charlene of Monaco, 38, will also not attend this year's events due to "important health concerns" her husband, Prince Albert of Monaco, revealed to the UK's Daily Express on Sunday, July 24. "She doesn't like what she's been reading and hearing about the Zika virus," Albert, 58, said.

The news of the royals missing the 2016 olympic games is especially surprising because Kate and William, 34, previously served as "special ambassadors" of the London Olympics with Harry, 31, back in 2012.
