Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s tour of India will be one for the books!
Not only is the upcoming trip the royal couple’s first visit to the South Asian country, it also marks the longest timespan Kate, 34, and William, 33, will spend away from their two children, Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 11 months.
“It’s often harder on the parents than it is on the children,” Sarah Dixon, a maternity nurse who has worked with friends of the couple, told [People](http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,2039522220998004,00.html)_ of Kate and William’s seven-day tour of India and Bhutan, which begins on April 10.

While their parents are away, George and Charlotte will reportedly be cared for by their nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo. The royal siblings may also be visited by Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton. “I’m sure that Granny is on call as a back up,” Dixon continued. “Two [children] under [age] three is incredibly difficult.”
“[Maria and the kids] will keep in touch with Skype, and I’m sure Maria will do a diary for [Kate and William] while they are away with pictures and photos, any moments they might have missed,” Dixon added. “She will know that while they are away, the parents need extra reassurance.”
