Months before Prince's tragic death, the music icon made a very special purchase — the Minneapolis house featured in his hit 1984 movie Purple Rain.
Prince — who passed away at age 57 in April — bought the home, located at 3420 Snelling Avenue in the Minnesota city's Longfellow neighborhood, for $117,000 in August 2015, real estate agent Deborah Larson of Coldwell Banker Burnet recently confirmed to the Star Tribune.

“I don’t think he had a plan. I think he just wanted it,” Larson told the publication, adding Prince requested to buy the property "sight unseen."

While shooting Purple Rain, filmmakers reportedly paid the abode's then-owners to feature the house — built in 1913 — in exterior shots of Prince's character The Kid's home.
