While the exact menu is not confirmed, guests at Kate Middleton and Prince William's 2011 wedding (who could ever forget that day by the way) were served salmon, lamb, and many yummy desserts. And since Meg is a self-proclaimed foodie, we're sure she'll come up with some fancy food options herself! According to The Telegraph, the pair has hired the catering company Table Talk for the May 19 event. This same company was also used by Kate and Will as well as Pippa Middleton at her May 2017 wedding. We guess they want to keep it in the family!
As far as the drinks (assuming the royals like to have fun!), we're expecting there to be some wine since Meg's former blog The Tig was named after a Tuscan bottle of red. And we can't forget about the cake! The Telegraph reports that the pair wants a banana cake at their nuptials (yum)! "This will be the first royal wedding cake made from bananas," a source told the news outlet. Former royal chef Darren McGrady also told Hello! that Harry "loved banana flan, anything with banana really, banana ice cream."
And it seems Meghan is doing her best to put an American twist on the royal wedding. "Meghan is adding some American touches [to the reception], like crab cake appetizers," an insider told In Touch. On top of that, they're considering late night treats served from food trucks, "but Meghan’s worried the royals will think it’s tacky." We'll have to wait and see what they decide!
