There's always time for a little bit of fun — even when you're planning an extravagant royal wedding! According to a new report, Prince Harry and his fiancée, Meghan Markle, are going on a little vacation shortly after the holidays.
"They plan to go on vacation together for more than a week," a source told Us Weekly of the newly-engaged duo. "Expect them to come back tanned, refreshed, and ready to take on a very busy 2018." The insider didn't reveal the destination of Harry, 33, and Meghan's romantic winter getaway (though it clearly seems to be somewhere warm) or exact dates.
As previously reported, Meghan, 36, allegedly got the invite to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth at Sandringham this year. "Now that they are engaged, it was unthinkable they would be apart for Christmas. The royal family has fully welcomed Meghan into the fold," a friend of Harry's told The Express recently.
Historically in the royal family, if you're not married, your significant other shouldn't be allowed to come to Christmas (Kate Middleton had to spend Christmas with her parents following her 2010 engagement to Prince William). However, Elizabeth has decided to make the exception for Meghan, and the royal family is treating this as a training session for her before she becomes a full-time royal in May.

"Now they are engaged and she will shortly be a senior member of the royal family, it is pivotal that she feels an integral part of it as soon as possible," the source revealed. "Kate and the younger members will help her through the strict protocol of the royal festive celebrations which take place over three days and which can be daunting. Kate was a bag of nerves the first time she did Christmas with the royals, so she knows exactly how daunting it must be for Meghan." Once Meghan successfully completes the Christmas celebration, we'll be saying bon voyage to her and her prince!
