Today is officially Prince George’s first day at school at Thomas’s Battersea in London — and he made the cutest entrance with his proud dad, Prince William, and his new teacher! As a seemingly nervous George, 4, arrived at school earlier this morning, the little royal and William, 35, were met by Head of Lower School Helen Haslem, who seemed to be channeling Kate Middleton‘s chic style with her first-day outfit.

Clad in a dusty pink, $330 “Amana” dress by LK Bennett — one of Kate’s favorite British designers! — and a pair of nude flats, Helen first shook George’s hand and subsequently turned to greet William. She then took the tot’s hand before helping to lead him into his new school building. Many royal fans were quick to notice that Helen’s pretty ensemble looked very similar to a pale pink, Alexander McQueen frock Kate, 35, wore during her tour of Australia in 2014.

Sadly, the Duchess of Cambridge — who announced she is expecting her third child earlier this week — was too ill to accompany George to school this morning. Kate is again suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, during her pregnancy. She was also plagued by the condition while previously carrying George and Princess Charlotte, 2.

“Prince George will this morning attend his first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, accompanied by his father, The Duke of Cambridge,” Kensington Palace confirmed via Twitter on Thursday, Sept. 7. A royal insider later told the Daily Mail, “The Duchess wanted more than anything to be there. It’s a big day for her son. But she has been really very sick this week.”

Earlier this week, William seemingly revealed to the world that Kate’s due date for baby No. 3 is in March 2018. “There’s not much sleep going on at the moment. We need Kate to get over this first bit and then we can start celebrating. It’s always a bit anxious to start with, but she’s well,” he said. William’s statement suggested his wife is around 11 weeks along, as the 12-week mark is typically when women publicly reveal a pregnancy.
