Just call him Idris, Idris Elba.
In a new interview, former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan, 61, revealed he thinks British actor Idris, 42, would be a great fit to portray Agent 007 when current 'Bond' star Daniel Craig decides to concede the role.
"He would make a good Bond. Colin Salmon also. May the best man get the job and may Daniel bring home the bacon for as long as he wants," the star said on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

The admission was quite the endorsement for Idris — who famously played Nelson Mandela in the 2013 movie 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' — as Pierce himself played James Bond in four of the franchise's films between 1995 and 2002.

TV actor Colin — who currently stars in The CW series 'Arrow' — would also be a strong choice for the coveted role, Pierce suggested, as the 52-year-old Brit has already appeared in three 'James Bond' films as MI6 aide and Deputy Chief of Staff, Charles Robinson.

Current 'Bond' actor Daniel, 46, is set to again star as the special agent in the upcoming flick 'Spectre,' which will hit theaters later this year.
