Talk about a connection of the generations!
When Sarah Hamm shared a photo of her two-week-old daughter meeting her 101-year-old Grandma Rosa Camfield for the first time on the Internet, she had no idea the amount of attention she’d receive.
The picture shows Rosa holding the newborn baby in a hospital bed. She looks down at the little one, who’s fast asleep.
The photo went viral after it was posted on the social media network Life of Dad with the simple caption “101 year difference.” Co-founder Patrick Quinn says he couldn’t believe the reaction they received. In fact, thousands of people began sharing their own multigenerational photos!
“Our highest gap in age was 112 years, which is pretty amazing," he told 'The Huffington Post.'
"People were really drawn to the image for reasons we didn't foresee. They thought of all of the things this woman has seen and lived through in her lifetime and imagined how her experiences will shape the life of the baby just starting her own journey."
Unfortunately, Rosa passed away on March 30, 2015 — but her spirit certainly lives on.
