Get well soon, Paula Abdul!

The former American Idol judge sadly had to postpone her first concert tour in 25 years after suffering an injury, she announced via Instagram on Saturday, June 10.

“Thank you to all my fans for your constant love and support. I treasure each and every one of you and I’m most grateful for your understanding. I hope to come back to Denver soon, and will miss you while I recover,” Paula wrote on the social media platform.

She gave her dedicated fans another health update on Sunday, June 11. “Thank you all for your kind concern. Words cannot describe my appreciation for all your kind messages,” she began. “I’m still on the mend, and the doctor has prescribed rest for a few more days. I anxiously await a thumbs up as I am very eager to get right back on that stage and perform for all of you! Sending hugs to everyone who is coming out for the Total Package Tour, and I am beyond grateful for your endless support!”

This comes after Paula recently opened up about her new experience in music after taking some time off. “I’m having lots of talks with my body like, ‘We gotta do this,'” the 54-year-old singer previously revealed. “It’s not easy and the older you get… well, I’m doing stuff I did 28 years ago, so it’s kind of nuts.”

Paula also opened up about how she’s staying in shape for her tour! “I started to train and get my cardiovascular situation better than it was because of singing and dancing and because, you know, the older you get the harder it is,” she confessed. “It’s constant work but I like the challenge of that. I like to push myself so it’s kind of a labor of love. It’s like being in school again and studying for your exams, you have to do the work.”
