In the new issue of Closer Weekly, Patrick Duffy opens up about career milestones and how fortunate he feels to be playing Bobby Ewing again on TNT’s Dallas reboot.

“I’ve played Bobby since he was 30,” Patrick tells Closer in his exclusive interview. “Now he’s 65. It’s so much fun to figure out who this guy is now that he’s aged another 35 years.”

As for the 2012 passing of his friend and co-star, Larry Hagman — who played J.R. on Dallas — Patrick shares, “I don’t feel sad. Other than my wife, I was probably closer to Larry than anybody else in my life. It was like a marriage of friends and when you’re together that long, you don’t get sad.”

But Patrick does admit, “I get a little lonely sometimes because of the fun we had on a daily basis. Every time I think of him, a smile comes on my face. But Larry’s is a living memory, so it doesn’t induce me to any sort of down attitude.”
