Paris Jackson Is Able to Embrace Her Fame Because She Has the Same “Passionate Personality” as Dad Michael Jackson Did

Nearly eight years after Michael Jackson’s death, it’s been revealed that Paris Jackson is very much like her dad, the King of Pop, was.

The late star was a dad to sons, Prince Jackson, 20, and Blanket Jackson, 15, and of course to his little girl Paris. “The kids live like Michael is constantly looking down upon them,” a family friend told People. They additionally revealed those close to Paris note she has the same “passionate personality” as Michael did. So sweet.

“I wasn’t around a lot of other girls. When I was a kid, I was with my dad and my two brothers,” Paris shared. “Growing up, I was treated as the favorite because I was the only girl. I was the princess; I was perfect in my dad’s eyes.”

She revealed that her dad was very protective of his children — which is why she was homeschooled until the age of 12. But after his death in 2009, the kids felt like they were thrown into the spotlight — which Michael tried to shield them from.

“It’s a feeling of doing something important, that actually matters, that’s going to impact people,” Paris said. “Plenty of times I’ve thought about not doing anything in the public eye and having my own private life. Then I started seeing how everything in the world is going. And I feel like each year it’s getting worse.”

Despite her trepidations, Paris is now embracing her fame — and hopes to make “a difference” in the spotlight. “After a long time of thinking, I started to really see the kind of impact I already have on people, how I was born with a platform, and I didn’t want to waste it,” she told Teen Vogue in May 2017.

“There are so many people who work their entire lives to create a platform and mine was just handed to me,” Paris continued. “Why not use it for something important?”
