Frank Finlay, a British actor best known for his Oscar-nominated performance in 1965's Othello, has sadly died. He was 89-years-old.
"We are very saddened to announce that Frank died today, Jan. 30, 2016, at home surrounded by his family. He was a fine actor and will be very much missed by his friends and family," a statement posted to Frank's official website read.

Throughout his 51 years in showbiz, Frank had more than 100 acting credits, most notably the 1971 TV serial Casanova and appearances on The Morecambe & Wise Show. He last starred in the 2009 UK mini-series Four Seasons.
Frank was married to Doreen Shepherd for more than 50 years before her death in 2005. The couple had three children together: Stephen, Daniel and Cathy. The actor is survived by Daniel and Cathy, as Stephen sadly passed away in 2004.
