During her six decades in Hollywood, Oscar winner Lee Grant said “yes” to a fling with Warren Beatty, a wild date with The Wild One himself, Marlon Brando and much more!
In her new memoir I Said Yes to Everything, the 87-year-old actress/director shares some fun anecdotes:
After costar Warren Beatty told her “I’m crazy about you” on the set of 1975’s Shampoo, Lee became “Warren’s romance for the movie,” having a torrid affair…but at the wrap party, she “saw his eyes attach themselves to something in the distance” — Dolly Parton! “I could feel myself dropped as this new yummy dish was making Warren’s mouth water," Lee recalls, but "Dolly was immune” to his charms.
In 1949, a young Marlon Brando “picked me up on his motorcycle and took me to a nightclub” in NYC, Lee recalls. “We silently watched a naked woman on a small black stage do artistic and lewd things with a giant cobra.” Surprisingly, there wasn't a second date!
One time when Lee was attempting to film Farrah Fawcett for a Lifetime documentary, the actress wouldn't come out of her bathroom for three hours and refused to sign a release. “Privately I always thought there might be cocaine involved. Her little nose was pink and running," shares the star.
A young Dr. Oz “sealed the deal” on getting her a pacemaker in the ’90s at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. “As we all now know, Dr. Oz is God,” Lee gushes. “He is as good as he is beautiful
