Nancy O'Dell spends her days talking to the biggest stars in Hollywood, but finding the perfect home for her growing family was a real dream come true.
About eight years ago, the 'Entertainment Tonight' host began a yearlong hunt for a kid-friendly LA home. All the ones she found needed remodeling, and time was running out.
"Since I was about to give birth to my daughter, Ashby, the last thing we needed was to renovate," Nancy, 48, shares with 'Closer.'

So she gave her real estate agent her "wish list" — a Mediterranean-style house with four bedrooms, a guesthouse, an outdoor patio, a covered patio, pool and big backyard.
“He said, ‘You’ve described a house my friend is thinking of selling in a year-and-a-half,'" Nancy recalls.
After wooing the owner, her technology exec hubby, Keith Zubulevich, got a tour.
“He called me saying, ‘It’s drop-dead gorgeous and everything we want,'" she says. But Nancy, a pro at negotiating, was afraid his enthusiasm might raise the home’s price.

“I asked if he was with the owners and said, ‘You shouldn’t be saying that!’” she explains with a laugh.
Within a few months, the longtime host was playing hostess to soccer parties for her stepsons, Carson, 14, and Tyler, 19 (now away at college), and mom to her new baby girl in the 8,000-square-foot home nestled on 1.5 acres. (She’s also mom to a 2-year-old Yorkshire terrier named Buttercup. “Everybody loves the Buttercup!” she smiles.)
