After six great seasons, the beloved sitcom Mike & Molly has been cancelled, Melissa McCarthy's costar, Rondi Reed, revealed last week.
Rondi — who portrays Melissa's character Molly's mother-in-law Peggy on the show — announced the disappointing news via her personal Facebook account on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

"Before you hear it elsewhere (and some already have) this is the final and sixth season season of Mike & Molly on CBS," she captioned a photo of the series' season five poster. The 63-year-old actress even revealed the show has cut down its final season, making it 13 episodes as opposed to the previously announced 22 episodes.

The series — which began airing 2010 — also stars Billy Gardell as Mike, Reno Wilson as Officer Carl McMillan (Mike's best friend), Swoosie Kurtz as Joyce Moranto (Molly's mother) and Katy Mixon as Victoria Flynn (Molly's sister).
