Michelle Obama threw 30 expectant US military moms a fun baby shower while visiting Italy last week. The women were reportedly invited to attend a round-table discussion on “motherhood in the military” with the First Lady, only to find out the event was really a party for them!

For the festive occasion on Friday, June 19, Michelle 51, teamed up with Glam4Good founder Mary Alice Stephenson and designer Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger to treat the ladies to a shopping spree where they could pick up new sunglasses, summer dresses, yoga gear, makeup and hair care products.

“You guys are getting some special things because we want you to know that we’ve got your back while you’re going through this part of your lives. You’re not alone. We love you guys," the mom to Malia, 16, and Sasha, 14, said, according to Page Six.

Earlier last week, Michelle, her daughters and her mother, Marian Robinson, touched down in London to kick off her campaign promoting girls' education. During their trip, Mrs. Barack Obama met with Prince Harry, 30, over tea and visited the Mulberry School for Girls where she made an inspirational speech to young students.
