This won’t be the first time the former FLOTUS has starred on a cooking show. In 2016, the mom-of-two — she shares daughters Malia, 18, and Sasha, 15, with husband Barack Obama — filmed an episode of Barefoot Contessa at the White House with celebrity chef Ina Garten.

In a recent interview, one MasterChef Junior‘s judges, Christina Tosi, gushed about the show’s newest season. “The kids have this insane fearlessness. They haven’t yet learned to build up their walls; they aren’t ashamed to say they don’t know the rules of cooking; they’re not afraid to humble themselves to the learning process,” the 35-year-old TV star said.

“And they aren’t afraid, therefore, to break rules that might be in place. The adults [who compete on MasterChef] are almost entirely the opposite — they come in and they want to show you all of their knowledge. I want to shake them by the shoulders, like, ‘It’s OK to not know.’ And it’s almost always the more humble of the home cooks, adults and children, that come out on top,” Christina added.
