Michael first joined Live! alongside Kelly, 45, in September 2012 after longtime co-host Regis Philbin left the program. He was subsequently added to the GMA team in 2014 and has been appearing on the show twice per week while continuing to work on Live!.
Live! will reportedly kick off a search to replace Michael when its new season premieres in the fall.
