Mia Farrow's son Thaddeus committed suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his torso, the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to People.

The 71-year-old actress' son Thaddeus died at age 27 on Wednesday, Sept. 21, according to People.

Thaddeus was reportedly found inside his car "suffering from a life threatening injury" in Connecticut yesterday. He was then taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead around 2:30 p.m. A criminal investigation is now underway, police reports stated.

Mia previously adopted Thaddeus — who was a paraplegic due to polio — from Calcutta, India in 1994. The actress is additionally a mother to 11 other living children.
