Meryl Streep’s Stunning Mid-Century Home Is Every Designer’s Dream — Inside Her Humble Abode

Of course, her home is stunning! Meryl Streep has snapped up one of the most coveted mid-century homes in Pasadena, California. The house rests on two acres of land, with views of the San Gabriel Mountains in the distance, and it’s easy to picture the Devil Wears Prada star living here.

Meryl and her husband, Don Gummer, purchased the mid-century marvel back in December 2017 for a pretty penny — $3.6 million to be exact — and they have lived there ever since. It features three spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms, stunning glass walls and vaulted ceilings, and even has its original windows and doors.

The house, which has a little bit of Japanese influence, features floor-to-ceiling windows in each one of the three bedrooms, so each room has tons of natural lighting. That theme is carried throughout the house and makes it the perfect summer home for Don, Meryl and her four kids.

In fact, Meryl’s home is so exclusive that it was built on one of Pasadena’s “most prestigious streets” in the ’50s, according to Architectural Digest, making the residence even more appealing. Designed by architects Whitney Smith and Wayne Williams, the 3,087-square-foot home has a tall stone fireplace at the center of its living room, making it a focal point for the house, and the open floor plan allows Meryl to entertain guests any way she wants.

What’s even better is that Meryl and Don have been living among some Hollywood A-listers, including neighbors Kristen Wiig and John C. Reilly. Who knows? They might even borrow some sugar from each other from time to time. But the best part about their house is the backyard. The residence has a perfect view of the iconic Colorado Street Bridge, which makes for a lovely date night for both Meryl and Don.

We don’t know about you, but we can just picture them sitting out there together every evening gazing out at the view.
