‘Today’ Host’s Heights: How Tall the Anchors Are, Measurements

The hosts of Today make a great team! Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Kristen Welker and their costars love posting pictures together while filming the program. One thing that’s easily noticeable is the height difference between some of the hosts. The tallest member of the cast is always towering above his costars.

Dressed as Elvis Presley during Today’s Halloween special in 2022, Willie Geist snapped some pictures with his costars in the getup. It was clear from the photos that the Illinois native is the tallest member of one of TV’s most famous anchor teams. His frame helped him become a star athlete in high school in both basketball and football. In fact, he was the captain of both teams.

In November 2019 during a Q&A session on Twitter, the longtime newscaster answered an inquiry about finding bigger shoe sizes as a tall person.

“I’m a 13 so just under the ‘Big and Tall’ shoe category, but they often only have a 12 at the normal person store. Caught in the middle. #OurStruggle” he responded to the fan.

While Willie is the tallest person on the Today cast, Carson Daly measures just a few inches below him. The radio personality is pretty tall, but not as tall as his Voice costar Blake Shelton. The country singer, who is a frequent guest on Today and a good friend of Carson’s, is about 6-foot-5.

When Blake visited Today in October 2017, Hoda dressed up as him. The mom of two admitted the “God’s Country” singer is her celebrity crush several times over the years. More than five inches shorter than Blake, Hoda still looked awesome in her costume and fully embodied the confident and funny persona of the beloved musician. She and cohost Kathie Lee Gifford got to share the stage with Blake out in Rockefeller Plaza.

Kathie Lee, who left Today in April 2019, is several inches shorter than Hoda. As one of the tallest female anchors of the bunch, Hoda has rocked some fabulous styles that accentuate her tall frame. The broadcaster did admit that she can’t take full credit for the outfits she sports on the show. Her mother, Sameha Kotb, is actually the one who helps her pick out flattering outfits before going on air.

“Yeah, if I’m wearing a good outfit, she picked it,” Hoda told People in January 2020. “If I’m wearing one of the other ones, somebody else — I bought it myself.”
