Does it get any more perfect than this? We don’t think so. According to the new book Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, written by royal expert and author Katie Nicholl, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle used to watch The Crown together before their relationship became so public.

“An accomplished cook, Meghan loved to make extravagant dinners for Harry,” she wrote in the book, adding that she made Nottingham Cottage her unofficial home by leaving clothes in his closet and bringing over cookbooks, candles, and flowers. “They enjoyed staying in and eating her delicious homemade meals and watching films and TV shows like The Crown on Netflix.” Our lives are made!

Harry and Meghan’s secret love for binge-watching like the rest of us isn’t the only interesting fact Nicholl revealed in her new book. Scroll down to learn more details about the royal couple’s romance!

Harry went on a lot of blind dates before Meghan

Harry was known for his long-lasting relationships with Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas, but once he became single, he turned to his cousin Princess Eugenie and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, to set him up on blind dates. “Harry wasn’t giving up, even going on blind dates organized by Kate and his cousin Princess Eugenie, who had a good track record when it came to setting Harry up,” Nicholl wrote. Who knew Kate was also cupid?

They met for the first time during the summer of 2016

Nicholl’s book states that the two first met in July 2016 while Harry was quietly dating British model Sarah Ann Macklin. They got in touch because one of their mutual friends (reportedly Violet Von Westenholz) gave Harry Meghan’s number (imagine getting a text from Prince Harry?) and the two hit it off after just two dates.

Meghan met Kate Middleton long before she got engaged

Meghan and Harry took a trip to Norway at the start of 2017, and when they returned, they met at Kensington Palace’s 1A apartment with Prince George and Princess Charlotte there as well. “Harry wanted Kate to approve of Meghan, and because they were the same age and came from ‘normal’ rather than royal backgrounds, he hoped that they would forge a close friendship,” Nicholl wrote.

The couple planned their wedding very fast for a certain reason

They wanted Harry’s grandfather, Prince Philip, 96, to be there. “One of the reasons Harry wanted to wed sooner than later was so that the Duke could see him married while he was still in good health,” Nicholl wrote. How sweet…
