Matthew Perry to Star as Ted Kennedy in Miniseries 'The Kennedys — After Camelot' - Closer Weekly

Matthew Perry has an exciting new gig!

The 46-year-old actor will portray the late Ted Kennedy in Reelz’s upcoming four-part miniseries, The Kennedys — After Camelot — and we can’t wait to see Matt in this fun new role!

The show — which will also star Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy — chronicles the years following the assassinations of Ted’s brothers, President John F. Kennedy and New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy.

“We are privileged to have an actor of Matthew Perry’s stature and ability take on the role of such a complex and controversial figure as Ted Kennedy,” the show’s executive producer, Michael Prupas, said, according to NBC News.

This highly-anticipated program comes five years after Reelz’s first eight-part miniseries, The Kennedys. The Kennedys — After Camelot is based on the book After Camelot: A Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present.

The miniseries is set to premiere in spring 2017.
