Malcolm-Jamal Warner is best known for playing Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show. But in his new role as a biker gang member on Sons of Anarchy, he hopes to leave that adolescent persona in the rearview mirror.
“For a lot of people, it’s difficult to let go of that image,” Malcolm admits to Closer in an exclusive interview. “Because [The Cosby Show] is still on TV five times a day!”
Though he's trying to move on from Theo, Malcolm tells the mag he keeps in close contact with his Cosby family. He also dishes about his one-time crush on TV sister, Lisa Bonet. “I was a 14-year-old boy,” he explains. “It would have been news if I hadn’t had a crush on her!”
His part on Sons of Anarchy is a big change, but Malcolm says he’s having a blast. “I’ve been riding Harleys since 2010,” he explains. “I’m a fan of the show. It’s cool to ride my own bike on it. I get a kick out of that.”
