The wedding dress the "Like a Virgin" singer, 56, wore to her 1985 nuptials to actor Sean Penn reportedly sold for $81,250.

Julien's Auctions originally estimated the gown would garner between $40,000 and $60,000 at the auction.

Madonna and Sean were married on her 27th birthday, August 16, 1985, in Malibu in front of 220 guests. The couple later divorced in 1989 after just four years of marriage.
