OMG!Madonna Files to Adopt Two More Kids From Malawi

Looks like Madonna may be expanding her family!

The 58-year-old singer filed official paperwork to adopt two more kids from Malawi on Wednesday, Jan. 25, a government spokesperson revealed.

According to [Fox News](http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/01/25/madonna-files-to-adopt-2-more-children-from-malawi.html?utmsource=feedburner&utmmedium=feed&utmcampaign=Feed%3A+foxnews%2Fentertainment+%28Internal+-+Entertainment+-+Mixed%29)_, spokesman Mlenga Mvula confirmed Madonna appeared before a High Court judge this week. It is now up to the court to grant the music icon’s adoption order, Mvula explained. She will likely have to wait one week before the decision is made.

Madonna previously adopted two children — son David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie, 11, and daughter Mercy James, also 11 — from Malawi in October 2006 and June 2009 respectively.

The “Vogue” singer is also a mom to two older kids, daughter Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, 20, and son Rocco Ritchie, 16, from two past relationships.

In a previous interview with Today, Madonna candidly opened up about being a working parent-of-four and revealed she’s a “normal mom” despite her showbiz stardom.

“The more kids you have, the more responsibilities you have. The more you have to really be aware of time, time management and juggling lots of balls in the air. [Being a working mom] is a tug-of-war,” she said in March 2015.

Madonna additionally revealed she enjoys traveling to Malawi with her children to support her charity, Raising Malawi. She founded the philanthropic organization in 2006 to address the poverty and hardships orphans and other children face in Africa.

“It’s wonderful, I love taking all of my kids there. They walk in to hospitals and tell jokes and stories and embrace children who are in some pretty extreme states, health wise, and they’re not afraid. And I love that,” she said.

“I love to see them behaving in a generous way towards human beings outside of their world. And they always reflect, when we come back, about how much it makes them think how lucky they are to have what they have. That they take so many things for granted that other people don’t have,” Madonna added.
