Cate Blanchett will play late comedienne Lucille Ball in a new biographical movie, The Hollywood Reporter announced on Thursday, Sept. 3.
The upcoming biopic will be written by The West Wing's Aaron Sorkin, though the 54-year-old producer has not yet started working on the script, the entertainment news outlet reported.
The movie — which has been authorized by Lucille's two children, Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr. — will center on the I Love Lucy star's career and family life.
