Big things are happening for Lionel Richie!
On Wednesday, Sept. 16, the 66-year-old star announced he is launching a Las Vegas residency called "Lionel Richie — All the Hits" in April 2016 at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
"Well my friends the time has come! Excited to announce my Las Vegas residency at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino... Hope to see you in Sin City!" Lionel wrote in a message posted to his official website.

The "All Night Long" singer will perform 20 shows in April, May, September and October 2016 at the Sin City venue. Tickets for the concerts are set to go on sale this Friday, Sept. 18 and range in price from $59 to $199 per seat.

Following his exciting announcement, Lionel — who is dad to three kids, Nicole, 33, Miles, 21, and Sofia, 17 — revealed his son was the person who finally convinced him to perform in Las Vegas.
“I asked him, ‘So Miles, what do you think about Vegas? Should I do it?’ He goes, ‘Oh my God, dad. We are going to have the great time. WE are going to have the greatest time,'” the singer said in an interview on Wednesday, according to Page Six.
