Working as a newscaster sure runs in the Holt family!
During a routine promo for NBC Nightly News on NBC's Chicago affiliate, Lester Holt got quite a surprise when he saw his son Stefan Holt filling in for a colleague during the Windy City's broadcast.

"'Nightly News' is coming up at 5:30 p.m., NBC's Lester Holt is here with a preview of the newscast — Hi dad," Stefan, 25, said as he threw it over to Lester, 56.

"I've got to check my watch, I thought this was the morning," the confused dad-of-two said upon seeing his eldest son, who usually anchors NBC Chicago affiliate WMAQ's morning news show.
"Good to see you, Stefan, proud of you," Lester added before reading the evening's top headlines.
