Congratulations are in order for All My Children alums Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos — the couple are embarking on an all-new adventure together!
The pair will be developing the upcoming book, Geek Girl Rising: Inside the Sisterhood Shaking Up Tech, into a new, scripted TV show!

According to Variety, ABC Studios has optioned the book and Kelly and Mark will executive produce along with Albert Bianchini through their Milojo Productions banner.

The book — written by journalists Heather Cabot and Samantha Walravens —
chronicles the women who are creating the next generation of tech start-ups like Debbie Sterling, the creator of GoldieBlox, and Tracy Chou, former lead software developer at Pinterest.

According to the authors, just 2.7 percent of venture capital-funded companies have a female CEO, and 56 percent of women in technology drop out mid-career. As their series is said to be scripted, it will likely follow fictional characters in the tech industry based on real-life women.
Kelly and Mark previously met on the set of All My Children back in 1995, and have three children together: Michael, 19, Lola, 15, and Joaquin, 14. Kelly is currently the host of the long-running morning talk show, Live! With Kelly, while Mark was most recently seen as Oscar Arguella in FOX’s primetime series Pitch.

The couple’s NYC-based Milojo Productions is named after their children, with the first two letters of each of their names making up “Mi-Lo-Jo.” Their first project was the Emmy-nominated feature documentary The Streak for ESPN. They have also produced series for TLC, CMT, and LOGO. Their most current project is the reality series Fire Island, premiering on LOGO.
