So Sweet!Kelly Clarkson Says Her Husband Has a “Beautiful” Connection With Daughter River Rose

Just days after her tearjerking American Idol performance, Kelly Clarkson is making her fans cry again with an emotional new interview about her young daughter, River Rose.

On Monday, Feb. 29, the 33-year-old singer opened up to Ryan Seacrest about her husband Brandon Blackstock's relationship with River Rose, 20 months — and gushed her handsome hubby is "such a great father.”

“Watching my husband love on his daughter all the time, go to her events and just be there and be present is hard to watch, but beautiful to watch," Kelly said during her On-Air with Ryan Seacrest sit-down.

Kelly sadly didn’t have a great relationship with her own father. Her new hit song, “Piece By Piece," tells the story of how her supportive, 39-year-old husband — whom she married in 2013 — taught her how a dad can form a positive relationship with his children.

“I don’t even think I understood the gravity of [my relationship with my father] until I was pregnant with [River Rose],” she told Ryan. “I was like, ‘I cannot imagine not seeing this kid to his or her full potential and just seeing what she’s going to do, what she’s going to be like.’"
