Katie Holmes Calls Daughter Suri Cruise Her “Sweetie” and Our Hearts Are Melted
Could Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise be any more perfect? The mother-daughter duo happily posed together in a rare Instagram photo on Wednesday, Sept. 6 — and Katie had the perfect nickname for her little girl!
In the cute black and white candid, Katie and Suri can be seen laughing together. The Dawson’s Creek alum captioned the pic, “My sweetie ??????????.” Katie previously welcomed Suri, 11, in April 2006 with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. The couple wed in 2006 and split in 2012.
In a previous interview, Katie opened up about how important it is to her to be a good mom. “When I’m not on set, I’m being a mom. I’m doing mom stuff,” the 38-year-old actress told Modern Luxury. “When I go to an event, I leave at 10 p.m. because it’s really important to me to be a mom that is dependable.”
And even though her career is important to Katie, she’s focused more on being there for Suri. “I think the most important thing in my life is giving my child the childhood I want her to have,” she said. “That comes first. That dictates where I work and when I work because it’s my main job right now.”
She added, “It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.” We wish Katie was our mom!
