She’s on the move! After leaving the CBS Evening News in 2011 to pursue a position at ABC, a rep for Katie Couric confirms that she is changing things up once again to join Yahoo News as a Global Anchor.
Katie will begin her new role in 2014 which will see the seasoned journalist reporting on live world events, anchoring groundbreaking interviews with major newsmakers, and working with a growing team of global correspondents. The rep also confirms that Katie will continue to host her daytime talk show, Katie.
"Katie’s depth of experience, her intellectual curiosity, and her charisma make her the perfect choice to anchor Yahoo News and the whole Yahoo Network,” said Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo. “Her unmatched energy, savvy, and versatility enables her to connect with audiences across the globe. News is a definitive daily habit for our users -- and Katie will work with our talented editorial team to pioneer a new chapter of digital journalism.”

The career move marks another major change for the TV personality, who became engaged in September of this year and is preparing to send her youngest off to college in 2014. Katie has previously stated that she will not get married until her daughter is settled at school, but it is unclear when she is set to begin her new anchoring duties.
