Instead of enjoying some private time with her new baby boy, Kate Winslet has had to publicly defend herself against a fathers’ rights group who criticized her three children’s living arrangements.
In the November 2013 issue of Vogue, the actress discussed her blended family and juggling three children with three different men.
"People go, 'Oh, my God! Those poor children! They must have gone through so much.' Says who?" the 38-year-old told the mag.
"They've always been with me. They don't go from pillar to post; they're not flown here and there with nannies. That's never happened.
“My kids don't go back and forth,” she added. “None of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads – my children live with me; that is it. That is it!"
The Oscar winner has daughter Mia, 13, with director Jim Threapleton, son Joe, 10, with director Sam Mendes, and a new baby with current husband Ned Rocknroll.
The UK-based fathers’ rights group, Fathers4Justice, launched an attack against Winslet and her comments by using her face in their 2013 Christmas advertisement.

The group defended their use of Winslet to the U.K.’s Mirror:
“We are running this advert as part of a campaign to highlight the sensitive issue of four million children waking up on Christmas Day without their father. It is clear from what Kate says that she does not support ‘shared parenting.’”
According to reports, Winslet’s lawyers have threatened to sue the group for defamatory remarks.
Since the advertisement came out, the actress’ ex-husband, Mendes, has come to her defense, according to the Mirror. While Mendes supports fathers’ rights, the group knows nothing about his family’s “personal circumstances.”
