Kate Walsh has revealed she is no longer able to have kids after going through early menopause.
“I don’t have children. I’m not going to have kids. I went through early menopause. That happened,” the former Grey's Anatomy star, 48, confessed in an interview.
“Who knows why. It could be a product of our environment. The pill, we don’t know,” Kate said on SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos, according to People, adding early menopause is becoming “more and more common” for women.
Kate explained she visited her doctor after her older sister went through early menopause and advised her to get checked too. “It was bleak. But that was a great kind of experience and growth. I’ve always felt I’ve been, at times in my life, indecisive or have hard times making decisions. I go for what I want and I also embrace what’s in front of me," she said.
During a 2011 interview — just months after divorce from producer Alex Young — Kate dished about her desire to one day have children. “I feel like a loser [for not having kids]. I would definitely love to be a parent,” the actress told More Magazine.
