According to a new report, Kate Middleton and Prince William have been planning their daughter’s first birthday party for months.

“Normally for a high-profile kids birthday, the invite goes out six months prior to the event,” Sarah Dixon, a maternity nurse who has worked for friends of the royal couple, told [People](http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,2039522221002595,00.html)_. “These people have busy [calendars]!”

“I think they will definitely have some sort of theme, maybe something gender-neutral like animals or pretty gingham cotton bunting with elegant lunch settings and canapés for the adults,” Dixon continued, adding the party will likely be outside.

Prince George will enjoy all the birthday festivities, and I’m sure there will be a few of his friends invited too. He’ll help Charlotte open all her gifts — older siblings love to do that!” Dixon said.

Kate, 34, and William, 33 — who married in April 2011 — welcomed George in July 2013 and Charlotte in May 2015.
