And naturally, no picture of the future king would be complete without his adoring mum by his side, cheering him on and showering him with countless hugs and kisses.

Of course, this happy family portrait is about to get some new brushstrokes. With Kate, 33, gleefully expecting the arrival of Baby No. 2 at any moment now, soon there will be another little one vying for her affection — and prepping George for that change is at the top of her to-do list.

“The arrival of a new baby is a big upheaval for an existing child, and George will be no different,” royals expert Phil Dampier, author of ‘What’s in the Queen’s Handbag? And Other Royal Secrets,’ tells ‘Closer.’

“Kate has been giving him special attention and talking to him a lot about the baby.” According to Frank J. Sulloway, a psychologist who specializes in birth order, her maternal instincts are right on target: “The single most important thing parents can do is make sure that their kids feel they are getting equal attention.”
