Pregnancy isn’t slowing Kate Middleton down! The Duchess of Cambridge may be pregnant with her third child, but that doesn’t mean she’s not keeping busy. In fact, the royal has had more public engagements this year so far than she did at this time last year.

Over the past two months, Kate — who is now seven months pregnant — has had 38 public engagements, including her royal tour to Sweden and Norway with husband Prince William and the BAFTAs. She’s also been making a plethora of appearances around England. Kate had completed 11 royal engagements during this time in 2017, seven in 2016, and 13 in 2015 when she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte.

Kate missed many events late last year because she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness. On top of that, experts think she may be filling her calendar now because she will need some time off after welcoming baby No. 3.

“The Duchess will, of course, be having some family time once she has a third child and it is unlikely that she will be seen for a few months after the birth of the next royal baby,” royal expert Grant Harold told Daily Mail. “It is most likely that she will be trying to fit in as many engagements as possible before the due date, and make up for the time she was unwell and unable to attend some of her previous events.”

Grant also added that perhaps Kate is showing her face more to help welcome Prince Harry’s wife-to-be, Meghan Markle, into the royal family. “Quite possibly, the Duchess is also showing support to Meghan Markle on how to carry our Royal duties like we saw at the Royal Foundation’s inaugural forum,” he said. “This was an excellent way to introduce the future Princess Henry of Wales into royal duties and no doubt the Duchess will be a huge support to Meghan.” One thing we do know is Kate is a supermom — and we’ll miss seeing her around once she gives birth!
