Although she only gave birth 3 months ago, Kate Middleton looked extremely slender and happy as she participated in a volleyball game with one of her charities SportsAid.

The duchess stepped out in 5-inch wedges and skinny jeans to support the charity, which she became a patron of earlier this year. At first, Kate stuck to the sidelines, watching participants play badminton, fencing, and wheelchair basketball before deciding to join in on a game of volleyball.

The new mom had originally declined to play saying, “I’d like to give it a go, but I’ve brought the wrong shoes.” But the excitement of the game must have been too much for the royal to resist because she soon joined in, hitting and jumping in her navy blue heels.

This is the first solo outing for the duchess who gave birth to son George in July. She became a patron of SportsAid after being inspired by the Olympic games last summer and seemed excited to return to Olympic Park for the event.

Kate, an avid athlete herself, has always been game to join in at sporting events when asked to. Last year, she played field hockey at her former school in heels and a tartan coat.

She also competed against husband William in a dragon boat race when the two were newlyweds in 2011.
