Though we're still months away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's highly-anticipated wedding, Meg's future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, is already growing very close to the royal family's newest member. According to a new People magazine report, Kate and Meghan, both 36, are becoming great friends.
"I’m sure Kate will do all she can to help Meghan," a source from the Duchess' Bucklebury, England hometown told the mag, adding that before Kate married Prince William in 2011, she was mentored by Queen Elizabeth. "She had audiences with Queen Elizabeth quite often and was taught to behave like a future Queen."

Like Kate, Meghan has already been receiving royal training in the months after Harry popped the question in November 2017. But unlike Prince George and Princess Charlotte's mom, Meghan's husband will be sixth in line to the throne when Kate and William welcome their third child this year, so the Suits star's training has been very different. "[Meghan] is funny and serious and extremely hard-working," another insider confessed. "I can imagine Kate will find a great friend in her."
"Meghan is far more worldly and sophisticated than Kate was when she arrived on the scene," royal biographer Ingrid Seward told People. "She was in one of the toughest businesses in the world and did well in it. She’s a divorcée and had some of the ups and downs in life. Kate has lived a rather charmed existence."
Despite their differences, Meghan reportedly wants Kate to be a bridesmaid in her Saturday, May 19 wedding to Harry. According to Now to Love, Meghan recently gave Kate "a gorgeous rose gold solitaire diamond bracelet from Tiffany & Co." along with a note asking the Duchess to be in her wedding party. It's no surprise that Meghan wants to be close to Kate — her hubby-to-be Harry has called her his "big sister" in the past. So sweet!
