The third Cambridge royal baby is almost here! Kate Middleton is, of course, no stranger to welcoming a new little one into the world so it’s no surprise that the 36-year-old mom’s birth plan for her latest baby has reportedly been organized “down to the tiniest detail.” For starters, Kate’s “baby team” — which includes her mom, Carole Middleton — has been preparing for the child’s arrival for weeks and weeks.

“[The group] is dedicated to making sure everything is ready, from media plans to security to hospital arrangements. There’s a backup plan for everything,” a royal source told Us Weekly in a new interview. “[Carole has] visited Kensington Palace a number of times over the past few weeks. Alongside Prince William, she’s been so supportive and helpful.”

Though rumors have been swirling for months that Kate wanted a home birth for baby No. 3, it is now expected that she’ll give birth in the Lindo Wing at London’s St. Mary’s Hospital, the same location where she and William, 35, previously welcomed kids Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2. Thankfully, the hospital is well-equipped to handle such a high-profile mom-to-be, especially since they’ve had Kate as a patient twice before!

“The hospital will get only five minutes’ notice ahead of Kate’s arrival… to prevent anyone being tipped off that she’ll be leaving home. And because everything is organized so precisely, the hospital can handle such short notice,” the insider revealed. Plus, the hospital’s security detail is already in tip-top shape. “Security does regular sweeps of [Kate’s pre-reserved] room, then it’s resealed each time with tamper-proof tape. It’s a high-security operation. Even the crawl space above the room is checked regularly,” the source explained.

Once Kate does give birth — her due date is reportedly in late April! — the palace insider said she hopes to leave her $9,650-per-day hospital room shortly after welcoming her third baby into the royal family. “Depending on how Kate feels, it’s hoped she can return home the same day or the following morning,” the source said. We can’t wait to meet Kate and William’s new little one in just a few weeks!
