Still so smitten! Julia Roberts loves being married to her husband of 16 years, Danny Moder. While recently speaking to Extra about her love life, the actress gushed about how amazing it is to be Danny’s wife.

“He’s an awesome human being. We have so much fun,” Julia, 50, shared before she opened up about a recent pic that she posted of her 49-year-old hubby. In the romantic Instagram snap shared on Monday, Sept. 3, Julia and Danny can be seen adorably hugging each other tightly on a beach.

“I said to him — we were lying in bed — I go to him, ‘Can I post this picture?’ Because that’s a weird question,” she explained about the heartfelt pic. “New to my lexicon. And he was like, ‘Okay.'”

Julia and Danny have been married for 16 years and, during that time, she found her own secret to a happy life. The A-lister previously opened up about how she found a substantial amount of joy with Danny in InStyle’s December 2017 cover story.

“Marry the right person, give birth to a redhead, and have great girlfriends,” Julia said while advising others to take a few cues from her own life choices. Of course, the “redhead” the Pretty Woman star is referring to is her 13-year-old son, Phinnaeus, aka Finn. Julia also shares Finn’s twin sister, Hazel, also 13, and son Henry, 11, with her hubby.

During her chat with the fashion mag, the Academy Award winner — who was previously married to musician Lyle Lovett from 1993 to 1995 — also spoke about the ways motherhood fulfills her. “All the clichés are true. I’m so proud of them,” she gushed of her three kids, before joking, “But also, I tried to carry somebody up to bed the other night, and [I just couldn’t].”

According to Julia — who kicked off her film career in 1987’s Firehouse — she can hardly believe all she’s accomplished over the past several decades. Despite the stigma of aging in Hollywood, Julia told InStyle that she is welcoming the process of growing older with opens arms.

“I always love my birthday,” the showbiz vet — who will turn 51 on Oct. 28 — said, adding that male actors are never questioned about their age. “There’s nothing different about this birthday than any other one. Really, people? Are we still in that space? Did anyone ever go over this with George Clooney or Brad [Pitt] before their 50th birthdays?”
