It's been an entire year since John Travolta infamously mispronounced Idina Menzel's name as "Adele Dazeem" at the 2014 Oscars — and we're still giggling over the funny flub!
On last night's special post-Academy Awards episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' John, 61, explained the embarrassing moment to host Jimmy Kimmel.
"The truth is, I was expected backstage and it was getting very close to the time when I was supposed to go on and suddenly an assistant grabbed me out of my seat and said 'You're on in a minute and 15 seconds,'" the 'Grease' star began his tale on the Sunday, Feb. 22 show.

"Later I found that my actual [assistant] got stuck in an elevator and couldn't communicate to anybody, so then the backup [assistant] came and rushed to get me," he continued. "As I get backstage, I run into Goldie Hawn — now Goldie Hawn is charismatic, sexy beautiful and I was starstruck and [was] forgetting that I had to go and do this bit."

Then, just as John was about to go onstage, he was informed that Idina's name on the prompter had been changed to a phonetic spelling of her unique moniker.
"It was this phonetic spelling and I didn't rehearse it that way!" Kelly Preston's hubby said. "And in my mind I kept going, 'What is this name?! I don't know that name.'"
During last night's Academy Awards, John and Idina shared a special moment onstage — proving all is forgiven for the actor's previous gaffe — when the songstress jokingly introduced the actor as "Glom Gazingo" for their presentation of Best Original Song.
