John Travolta Makes Unexpected Appearance at 2017 Grammys — And Makes an Adorable ‘Grease’ Reference Onstage!

Grease and Saturday Night Fever fans everywhere are jumping in front of their televisions!

John Travolta made a rare appearance at the 2017 Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 12 — and made the sweetest reference to his hit 1978 film, Grease, while introducing country pair Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood to the stage!

“On my phone, when you look at the font for the text, they’re so big that everyone laughs at me, so for sure I’m not going to be able to read that prompter,” the 62-year-old actor joked while presenting. “I’m excited to be here. Tonight a little later in the show we’ll be honoring The Bee Gees and Saturday Night Fever.”

“But for now, this urban cowboy is going to see the cards. So, she has seven Grammy awards and another nomination this year. He has four awards and two nominations this year, but who’s counting?” he continued.

“Ladies and gentleman, the most dynamic duo since Sandy and Danny, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood!” John said. If only he and Olivia Newton-John took the stage together! The two portrayed Danny Zuko and Sandy Olssen, respectively, in the iconic blockbuster. We loved the little bit of nostalgia John brought to the biggest night in music!
