Known for his famous roles as Mr. Ollivander in the Harry Potter movies and as the main character in The Elephant Man, British actor and Academy Award nominee, John Hurt, has just revealed he has unfortunately been diagnosed with early stage pancreatic cancer.

The 75-year-old told People, "I am undergoing treatment and am more than optimistic about a satisfactory outcome, as indeed is the medical team."

Well that's a bit of good news!

With a positive attitude and a great work ethic, John is determined to move forward, not letting this diagnosis hold him back.

He shared, "I am continuing to focus on my professional commitments and will be recording Jeffery Bernard Is Unwell for BBC Radio 4."
