Just days after it was announced that Joe Manganiello dropped out of his new TV show, Six, the actor is making headlines again for skipping a recent charity event due to “health issues.”

The 39-year-old actor and his wife, Sofia Vergara, 43, were scheduled to appear at the Stuart House Benefit in West Hollywood, Calif. on Sunday, April 17, but the duo were unable to make it because Joe is suffering from an unspecified illness, a rep at the event confirmed to [Entertainment Tonight](http://www.etonline.com/news/186911joemanganiellodropsoutcharityappearancedueunspecifiedhealthissues/).

“Joe’s been a big part of what we’ve done over the years. He’s been a great personal friend. He’s been involved in all of our — the last four or five years — Stuart House events,” fashion designer John Varvatos told the entertainment news outlet at the charity function.

“Basically they just couldn’t make it because [Joe] is recovering,” Varvatos added. “I don’t know a lot about [the situation] other than that he’s had a little bit of a health problem. We wish him the best. We thank him for all his support that he’s given us and, most importantly, to get well soon because he’s such a wonderful guy.”

Though Joe has yet to publicly comment on his recent health issues, the True Blood star did post a sweet message to Sofia via Twitter on April 17. “I love my wife,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
