Nearly a week after Joan Rivers' terrifying medical ordeal, Melissa Rivers shared that her mother is leaving the ICU.
"My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable. Thank you for your continued support," the comedienne's daughter said in a statement on Sept. 3.
The news comes a day after Melissa confirmed her mother remains on life support. "On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received," she wrote.
"I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."
Joan was rushed to the hospital on Aug. 28 after suffering complications during an outpatient vocal chord procedure. She has since been taken out of a medically-induced coma and is "resting comfortably," according to her daughter's daily updates.
It was also reported that a special New York Fashion Week taping of Joan's television show, Fashion Police, has been canceled while she remains hospitalized.
