Joan's condition has been upgraded from critical to stable, according to various reports. Her live show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, N.J., scheduled for tomorrow (Aug. 29), has been postponed, a statement from the theatre confirmed.
Meanwhile, Joan's daughter, Melissa Rivers, was seen looking distressed as she arrived at LAX to catch a flight to New York with son Cooper.

An NYPD source tells Closer Joan was in critical condition while being transported to Mount Sinai hospital this morning. Her current medical condition is unknown.

According to a new report, Joan Rivers was rushed to an NYC hospital after she stopped breathing during surgery on her vocal chords. The 81-year-old was allegedly undergoing a throat procedure at a city clinic when the complications arose.
A source explains the clinic called 911 and reportedly told the operator, “we have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest," before she was taken to Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan.

The source adds that Joan's daughter, Melissa — who's based in LA — is currently on her way to the east coast to be by her mother’s side.
